Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a Travel RN for Labor & Delivery Nights, requiring 3+ years of experience and BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications. The assignment is 13 weeks in a hospital setting with 6 LDR beds, 1:1 or 2:1 patient ratios, and no call requirements.

Floating to postpartum or nursery units is expected; active RN license and US SSN are required. Lodging and meals may be provided, with a weekly pay disclosed in the posting.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (Standard or Compact) required.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required.
• Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of assignment start.
• Minimum 3 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience required.
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months.
• Active driver's license required for consideration.
• US Social Security Number required; Canadian SIN not accepted.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care throughout the antepartum, intrapartum, immediate postpartum, and neonatal phases of obstetrical care.
• Utilize the nursing process in accordance with state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies.
• Demonstrate critical thinking and leadership in anticipating and planning safe patient care delivery.
• Delegate patient care priorities and provide direction and supervision of assigned personnel.
• Maintenance of clinical competencies through continuing education expected.
