The role offers a 3x12 day shift and 36 hours per week, with potential float to related maternal units and NICU. Epic EMR is used, and shifts may include major holidays.

Qualifications

• Active NV RN license required prior to start.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; NRP and STABLE preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience in a high-risk hospital setting.
• Prior travel nursing experience with at least one 13-week travel assignment in the past year.

Responsibilities

• Care for a high-risk OB unit with 15 labor beds, 9 antepartum beds and 3 OR suites.
• Work 3x12 day shifts with 36 guaranteed hours per week.
• Potential to float to other maternal units, PP and NICU.
• No on-call requirements; schedule may include weekends and holidays.
• Work in a busy Level II trauma center serving a 500-mile radius; Epic EMR in use.

Job description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Labor & Delivery RN for a high-risk OB unit, requiring an active NV RN license and prior travel experience.

Requirements

• Active NV RN license required prior to start
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; NRP and STABLE preferred
• Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience in a high-risk hospital setting
• Prior travel nursing experience required, with at least one recent 13-week travel assignment within the past year

Responsibilities

• High-risk OB unit with 15 labor beds, 9 antepartum beds, and 3 OR suites
• 3x12 day shift schedule with 36 guaranteed hours per week
• May be required to float to other maternal units, PP, and NICU
• No on-call requirements
• Schedule may include weekends and holidays
• Uses Epic EMR with training provided during orientation or option to test out
• Work in an extremely busy, fast-paced Level II trauma center serving a 500-mile radius
• Facility includes 800 inpatient beds and 80 ER beds, with volume and pace comparable to a Level 1 trauma center
• May be required to work major holidays, with a minimum of 2 major holidays required during the assignment
• May be required to pick up one additional shift during the schedule period
• Facility reserves the right to cancel shifts with 48 hours notice for low census
• Candidates must reside outside a 60-mile radius of the facility; local candidates are not accepted
• A 13-week break is required for returning travelers before starting a new contract at this facility
• RTO must be submitted with the initial application and will not be added at the end of the contract
