Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Labor & Delivery RN for a 13-week night shift assignment in Lynwood, CA. Requires CA RN license and 2+ years of experience; BLS, AWHONN/Fetal Heart Monitoring, DCI/BVP certifications; EMR experience.

You will provide direct patient care in Labor & Delivery, supporting mothers and newborns, while upholding safety and hospital policies during the 7:00 PM–7:30 AM shift. Travel-friendly benefits provided.

Qualifications

• Active CA RN license required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience required.
• BLS certification required.
• AWHONN/Fetal Heart Monitoring certification required.
• DCI/BVP certification required.
• EMR experience with the facility's system required.

Responsibilities

• Labor and Delivery unit within the Birthplace department.
• Cares for mothers and newborns during antepartum and postpartum periods.
• Night shift schedule from 19:00-07:30.
• 13-week assignment length.
• Deliver direct patient care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Direct and guide patient/family teaching and the activities of other nursing staff.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition or treatment response.
• Maintain a safe environment for patients and visitors.
• Utilize chain of command as needed to ensure patient safety and appropriate care.
• Accepts local candidates at the same rate as travel positions.
