Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a Labor & Delivery RN for a night shift travel position requiring intermediate fetal monitoring, ACLS, NRP, and OR Circulator experience. The role is based in Texas with a 13-week assignment and Tuesday start.

The position demands active TX RN license, 1 year L&D experience, and certifications (Fetal Monitoring, ACLS, NRP, BLS). Remote/onsite work is not applicable; housing and travel benefits are offered.

Qualifications

Active TX or compact RN license required.
Minimum 1 year of Labor & Delivery experience required.
Current certifications: Intermediate Fetal Monitoring, ACLS, NRP, and BLS.
O.R. Circulator experience required.
C-EFM certification preferred but not required.
Bilingual and scrub tech skills preferred.
US SSN and DOB required for consideration.
One professional reference required (two for Florida and Missouri).
No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months.

Responsibilities

Work in the Labor & Delivery unit of a hospital.
Unit staffed by 24 bedside RNs, with a day shift core team of 3 RNs, 1 scrub tech, and 1 unit secretary.
Patient ratios of 2:1, with high-risk patients at 1:1 or 2:1 if stable.
EMR systems used include CPN (Centricity) and Meditech.
Night shift schedule from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM.
13-week assignment with Tuesday start dates.
4 weekend shifts required per month.
Floating may be required to postpartum or medical floor units (tech capacity only).
Typical procedures performed include cesarean sections and BTLs/salpingectomies.
Provide direct patient care in a busy Labor & Delivery unit supporting cesarean sections and related surgical procedures.
Scrub color/attire required is royal blue.
Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates will not be considered.
Open personality fit preferred for team culture.
