Job summary

American Traveler Staffing Professionals is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery travel assignment in Texas. The role requires fetal monitoring certification and BLS, ACLS, and NRP credentials. A minimum of 1 year in Labor and Delivery is preferred, with BSN and Perinatal residency valued.

The position is hospital-based with a 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM day shift. Travel nurses must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility and have a valid TX license.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (TX or compact) required.
• Current BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) certifications required.
• NRP certification required.
• AWHONN Intermediate FHM or NCC EFM certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care for L&D patients using the nursing process.
• Administer medications and treatments and monitor for side effects.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medication administration, and care provided.
• Address patients and families' psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs.
• Provide patient and family education, identifying learning needs and resources.
• Attend New Nurses Orientation within 30 days and complete competency validations.

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery position requiring fetal monitoring certification and NRP, ACLS, and BLS credentials.

Requirements

• Active RN license (TX or compact) currently in hand
• Current certifications required: BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA)
• Current NRP certification required
• Current certification required in either AWHONN Intermediate FHM or NCC Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM)
• 1 year of experience in Labor and Delivery preferred
• BSN preferred
• Perinatal RN Residency or recent Perinatal Services experience preferred

Additional Information

• Newly hired RNs attend New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days and complete organizational and Perinatal Services-specific competency validations
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to qualify for the travel rate
• Previous CHRISTUS Health employees must have a 6-month separation period before being eligible for a travel assignment at any CHRISTUS facility
