Job summary

Healthforce is seeking an experienced Travel Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in Dubuque, IA. The role delivers high-quality care to residents in a long-term care facility, focusing on chronic-condition management and care coordination.

The ideal candidate holds an Iowa RN license (or Compact), BLS, and LTC experience, with strong communication. This travel assignment features 12-hour day shifts (6:00 AM–6:00 PM) in a dynamic, interdisciplinary environment.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in geriatric patient care and chronic disease management.
• Experience with EHR/EMR documentation systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive physical assessments and monitor residents for health changes.
• Administer medications and manage IV therapy per orders.
• Provide routine wound care and skin integrity management.
• Document care in the facility's EHR accurately.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and social workers on care plans.
• Educate residents and families on disease management and safety.
• Coordinate transitions of care within the facility or to higher-level care when needed.
