Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a 13-week travel assignment. Requires EPIC experience, ACLS/BLS, and a compact or PA RN license. Work 3x12-hour days (7:00 AM–7:30 PM), with every other weekend and no on-call. May float to Med Surg; potential COVID-19 exposure; holiday coverage required.

Tobacco/fragrance-free facility, within 50 miles for standard pay rates. Local candidates may be considered at a reduced rate. First-time travelers welcome; pairs may be considered.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (Standard, Compact, or PA) currently in hand.
• Current certifications: BLS and ACLS (AHA or ARC only)
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience
• EPIC charting experience
• Cardiac monitoring and emergency response skills
• Dysrhythmia management, IV therapy, arterial and central line care
• Titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips, BiPAP/CPAP management, ventilator patient care, ETT/NT suctioning
• Isolation precautions and PPE competency
• Charge nurse experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Work in the ICU of a hospital setting
• Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Every other weekend (EOW) required
• No on-call requirements
• May float to Med Surg as needed
• Potential exposure to COVID-19 patients
• Provide direct patient care in a critical care ICU environment
• Holiday coverage required for 2 of 3 major holiday periods (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year)
• Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract
• Facility is tobacco and fragrance free
• Must reside within a 50-mile radius to qualify for the standard travel pay rate; local candidates may be considered at a reduced rate
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Pairs may be considered, though matched schedules cannot be guaranteed
