Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a 12-hour night shift position at a community hospital in Connecticut. The role requires a CT or Compact RN license and at least 3 years of ICU experience, with strong critical care skills.

You will work 19:00–07:30, 36 hours per week, with every other weekend, and may float to MS/Tele within scope of practice. Cerner charting and Accudose systems are used; ACLS/BLS required.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (CT or Compact) required.
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required (CPI, NIHSS, TNCC preferred).
• Minimum 3 years ICU experience required.
• Community hospital experience required.
• Cerner charting experience preferred.
• Experience interpreting and managing dysrhythmias.
• Experience with Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan Ganz monitoring.
• Central line care and management experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide critical care nursing to adult ICU patients including cardiac monitoring and emergency response.
• Work in the ICU of a hospital setting with adult patients.
• 12-hour night shifts, 19:00-07:30, 36 hours per week.
• Every other weekend coverage required.
• Float to MS/Tele and Tele units within scope of practice.
• Utilize Accudose and Cerner documentation with SBAR communication.
• Follow infection prevention protocols including isolation precautions and PPE.
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply for this unit.
• Candidates residing within 75 miles are considered local.

• Minimum 3 years of ICU experience required
• Community hospital experience required
• Cerner charting experience preferred
• Experience with interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Experience with Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan Ganz monitoring
• Central line care and management experience
• Skilled in starting and maintaining IVs
• Experience caring for ventilated patients and ventilator management

Responsibilities

• Work in the ICU of a hospital setting
• Adult patient population
• 12-hour night shifts, 19:00-07:30, 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend coverage required
• Float required to MS/Tele and Tele units, within scope of practice
• Uses Accudose medication system, Cerner documentation system, and SBAR communication
• Blue scrubs required
• Provide critical care nursing to adult ICU patients including cardiac monitoring and emergency response
• Titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips as needed
• Follow infection prevention protocols including isolation precautions and PPE
