Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a night shift in Texas. The position requires Medical ICU experience, vent/drip titration skills, and a compact or TX RN license.

You'll work in a 20-bed ICU with a 2:1 or 3:1 patient ratio, using Baxter infusion pumps and Expanse EMR. The 13-week assignment runs from 7 PM to 7 AM, with four weekend shifts. Housing allowance and travel/licensing reimbursements are provided.

Qualifications

• Active TX nursing license (or compact) required.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Minimum 1 year Medical ICU experience.
• Vent and drip titration experience.
• Experience with intubation, central lines, endoscopy, tracheostomy, and chest tube procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide care in a 20-bed ICU with 1 charge nurse and 10 RNs per shift.
• Patient ratios of 2:1, or 3:1 for lower acuity patients.
• Uses Baxter infusion pumps and Expanse EMR system.
• Night shift schedule 7:00 PM–7:00 AM; 13-week assignment; 4 weekend shifts.
• Floating to Progressive Care unit may be required; provide critical care nursing to medically complex ICU patients.
• Team-oriented environment with flexibility and a positive attitude; royal blue scrubs.
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates.

• No gaps in work history exceeding 90 days within the past 12 months
