American Traveler Staffing Professionals™ is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a Critical Care Float position in Seattle, WA. The assignment requires 2+ years of ICU experience and prior travel nursing. Shifts are 3x12s with day and night rotations, 36 hours per week, for 18 weeks.

You will float within the hospital, with no call requirements and support for Epic charting. WA or compact RN license and BLS/ACLS are required; CCRN preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years ICU experience with cardiac, neuro, and general ICU skills.
• Travel nursing experience required.
• Active WA or compact RN license; BLS/ACLS certs required; CCRN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Float pool ICU coverage across designated units.
• Maintain patient ratios 1:1 to 1:2.
• Use Epic charting system and coordinate care with hospital staff.

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a Critical Care Float position requiring 2+ years of ICU experience and prior travel experience.

Details

• Critical Care Float pool covering Surgical ICU, Cardiac ICU, Cardiothoracic ICU, Medical ICU/Bone Marrow Transplant Oncology ICU, and one mutually agreed Med-Surg unit
• Patient ratios range from 1:1 to 1:2
• 3x12 shifts, day and night variable schedules available
• Floating required within the hospital only
• No call requirements
• Uses Epic charting system

Requirements

• Active WA or compact RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; CCRN preferred
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required with cardiac, neuro, and general ICU skills
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Skilled in ventilator management, BiPAP/CPAP, ABG interpretation, and airway suctioning
• Experience with continuous IV sedation, cardiac and vasoactive drip titration
• Experience in CVA/acute stroke management and post-neurosurgery care; EVD and ICP monitoring preferred
• Skilled in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and multisystem organ dysfunction care
• Experience with IV insulin protocols, IV therapy, and PICC line management
• Experience with post cardiac surgery care and Swan Ganz/pulmonary artery line monitoring; TAVR experience preferred

Additional Information

• Work within a Magnet-designated academic teaching medical center
• Maximum RTO of 1 week, with requirement to work 2 of 3 major holidays
• No RTO permitted during the first 2 weeks of the assignment
• Prior UW Medical Center staff must have 18 months separation before returning as a traveler
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this role
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate
• COVID vaccination and booster required with no exceptions
