Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU/CCU RN for a night shift assignment requiring a WA or compact RN license and at least 3 years of critical care experience.

• Work in the Critical Care/ICU (CCU) unit of a hospital setting

Requirements

• Active WA or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Minimum 3 years of critical care experience in a hospital setting
• Compact license holders must provide verification of suicide prevention training and demographic data via Nursys e-Notify
• Proof of right to work in the United States required

Additional Information

• Provide direct, individualized nursing care based on scientific nursing principles
• Administer medications via oral, subcutaneous, and IV routes and monitor for adverse reactions
• Apply hemodynamic, phlebotomy, and IV protocols
• Monitor and adjust specialized equipment including cardiac monitors, ventilators, and oxygen pumps
• Interpret and record electronic displays such as central venous and pulmonary artery pressures
• Initiate patient and family education on illness management and home care needs
• Respond to life-saving situations according to nursing standards and protocols
• Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests and lab work
• Coordinate with the healthcare team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans
