American Traveler is seeking an ICU RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Iowa. Requires BLS/ACLS and at least 1 year of ICU experience with an active IA or Compact RN license. Shift 7A–7P, every other weekend, with float coverage to stepdown, telemetry and med-surg as needed.

Candidates must reside 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify for travel rate; background checks and drug screening are required. Competitive benefits include housing allowance and travel reimbursements.

Qualifications

• 1+ year ICU experience (travel experience counted)
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Active RN license IA or Compact required
• RN degree required
• Cardiac drips experience preferred
• Familiarity with ICU diagnoses like DKA, ARF, CHF, CAD preferred
• Background check and mandatory reporter certification required
• 10-panel drug screen required
• Titers updated within last 12 months (MMR, Hep B, Varicella, TB)

Responsabilités

• Provide direct care in adult ICU patients and assist with stepdown, telemetry, and med-surg as needed
• Support a 10-bed unit with a 1:3 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Operate within a Trauma Level IV facility and collaborate with the ICU team
• Shift is 7A–7P with every other weekend; float as needed and no on-call
• Adhere to facility policies on scrubs and attire
• Reside 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify for travel rate
• Avoid prior permanent LifePoint employment within last 12 months
• Start dates on Monday or Tuesday acceptable

American Traveler is seeking an ICU RN for a 13-week travel assignment requiring BLS, ACLS, and at least 1 year of ICU experience with an active IA or compact RN license.

Requirements

• Active RN license (IA or Compact) required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of ICU experience required (1 year with travel experience will be considered)
• RN degree required
• Experience with cardiac drips preferred
• Familiarity with common ICU diagnoses such as DKA, ARF, CHF, and CAD preferred
• Must clear Iowa SING background check including criminal and child abuse portions
• Mandatory reporter certification (child and adult) required
• Must pass a 10-panel drug screening including opiates
• Titers required within the last 12 months for MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, and TB

Responsibilities

• General ICU unit within a Trauma Level IV facility, currently combined with the Medical Unit
• 10-bed unit caring for adult patients with a 1:3 patient ratio in ICU
• Willing to accept stepdown, telemetry, and med-surg patients when ICU census is low
• Shift runs 7A-7P with every other weekend required
• Floating required
• No call requirements
• Uses Mindray and Omnicell equipment and Meditech EHR
• Provide direct patient care to adult ICU patients and assist with stepdown, telemetry, and med-surg patients as needed
• Work closely with a collaborative team supervised by the unit's RN, BSN leadership
• Scrubs of any color are acceptable; sweatshirts, sweatpants, and offensive clothing are not permitted
• Candidates must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for the travel rate
• Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Must not be employed elsewhere on a full-time basis
• Monday or Tuesday start dates will be accommodated
