Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a high-acuity CCU assignment with strong cardiac experience and AR or compact RN licensure.

Responsibilities include working in the CCU of an acute care hospital, with a fast-paced CV service line and a 12-hour night shift (7p-7a). The assignment runs for 6 weeks, with EPIC EMR transitioning in November 2026. Proven licensure and certifications are required.

Qualifications

• Active AR state or compact (NLC) RN license is required.
• Current certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS, and NIHSS.
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience.
• Strong cardiac nursing experience.
• Copy of driver's license required for consideration.
• Two professional references: one supervisor (within 12 months) and one peer/supervisor (within 3 years).

Responsibilities

• Work in the CCU (Cardiovascular ICU) of an acute care hospital, Trauma Level 2.
• Fast-paced cardiovascular service line covering all cardiac cases except transplants.
• Highest acuity unit in the area.
• Uses EPIC EMR; transition to EPIC in November 2026.
• Night shift schedule, 7p-7a.
• Every other weekend (EOW) required.
• 12-hour shifts, 48 hours per week.
• Provide high-acuity nursing care within a busy cardiovascular service line.
• 6-week assignment length.
• Candidates may not have been directly employed by any CommonSpirit-affiliated facility within the past year; PRN through outside staffing firms considered.

• Provide high-acuity nursing care within a busy cardiovascular service line
• 6-week assignment length
• Candidates may not have been directly employed (full time, part time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit-affiliated facility, including CHI and Dignity, within the past year
• Candidates employed PRN through outside staffing firms will be considered
