Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN for an assignment in Hawaii. An active Hawaii RN license, pediatric experience, and current BLS/ACLS with PALS are required. You'll work a 12-hour day or night shift in a 9-bed ICU with a 2:1 patient ratio, and possible Med/Surg overflow.

Qualifications

• Active HI RN license required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience required.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Current PALS certification required.
• Pediatric experience required.

Responsibilities

• 9-bed ICU setting within a hospital.
• Adult ICU population with occasional stable pediatric patients; unstable pediatric patients are transferred to a higher level of care.
• Patient ratio of 2:1, unless 1:1 care is indicated.
• Potential for Med/Surg overflow with ratios up to 3-4 patients per nurse.
• 12-hour day or night shift schedule.
• 72 hours worked every two weeks.
• Minimum of three nurses staffed on each shift.
• May float to other departments to assist, but will not take a full patient team while floating.
• Deliver critical care nursing services to adult ICU patients, with occasional stable pediatric cases.
• Charge nurse duties may be assigned as part of shift responsibilities.
