Job summary

American Traveler, LLC is hiring a Night Shift RN for ICU duties in Illinois. The role requires an IL RN license and critical care experience with ventilators, arterial and central line management.

Qualifications

• Active IL RN license in hand.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Minimum 1–2 years ICU experience.

• Experience titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips.
• IABP experience preferred.
• Swan-Ganz monitoring preferred.

Responsibilities

• ICU unit setting within a hospital environment.
• Patient ratio of 1:2.
• Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 19:00-7:30).
• Every other weekend required.
• Floating required.
• Epic charting system used.
• Provide critical care nursing to ICU patients requiring close monitoring and advanced interventions.
• Open to first-time travelers.
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate.
• Former staff of University of Chicago Medicine locations must have been separated for at least 7 months before returning as a traveler.

• NIHSS certification preferred
• Minimum 1-2 years of ICU experience required
• Skilled in IV therapy, arterial line management, and central line care/management
• Experience with care of ventilated patients and respiratory/thoracic management
• Proficient in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and management
• Experience titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips
• Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP) experience preferred
• Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan Ganz monitoring experience preferred
• Current Nursys report required (pulled within the last 2 weeks)

Responsibilities
