Job summary

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Neuro ICU position requiring 2 years of ICU experience with neuro specialty background and NIHSS certification.

Travelers work 12-hour day shifts in a Neuro ICU, with a 2:1 patient ratio and mandatory floating to sister campuses within 15-20 minutes. Epic EMR is used and travel eligibility requires residing outside 50 miles of the facility.

Qualifications

• Active FL or compact RN license.
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS.
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience with neuro specialty experience required.
• Degree accreditation must be verifiable, or 5 years of experience required in lieu of accreditation.
• Galaxy Blue or White scrubs required.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Neuro ICU unit of a hospital setting.
• Patient ratio of 2:1.
• Uses Epic EMR.
• 12-hour day shifts, 3 shifts per week.
• Floating required, with travelers prioritized to float first, including to sister campuses within 15-20 minutes of the facility.
• Provide critical care nursing to neuro ICU patients as part of a collaborative care team.
• Travelers are expected to integrate fully and function as core staff.
• Prior travel experience preferred.
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to qualify for travel assignment eligibility.
• All requested time off must be submitted prior to confirmation; no RTO approvals after start.
• Orientation begins on a Friday, requiring in-person attendance for badge and ID processing.
• Hard document deadline is the Monday prior to start date with no exceptions for pending documentation.
