Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a night shift Med-Surg ICU assignment in Edmond, OK. The role requires compact or OK RN licensure and CRRT skills are preferred. You will work 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM–7:30 AM) with a 1:2 patient ratio and may float to other units within a 75-mile radius.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (OK or Compact) required.
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
• Minimum 2 years ICU experience; 1.5 years charge nurse preferred.
• Prior travel nursing experience required.
• CRRT experience preferred; other CRRT skills noted.
• Proficient in cardiac monitoring and multisystem care.
• IV therapy, blood products, PICC line management, continuous IV drips.
• Respiratory care incl. BiPAP/CPAP and ABG interpretation.
• Must reside >75 miles from facility; no block scheduling.
• Two supervisory references required.

Responsibilities

Job description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a night shift Med-Surg ICU position requiring compact or OK RN licensure and CRRT skills preferred.

Requirements

• Active RN license (OK or Compact) required
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Minimum 1.5 years of charge nurse experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Any charting system experience accepted
• Skilled in CRRT preferred
• Proficient in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, arterial and central line management, ventilator management, and multisystem organ dysfunction care
• Experience with IV therapy, blood product administration, PICC line management, and continuous IV drip titration required
• Skilled in respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP, ABG interpretation, and suctioning
• Current DL or state-issued ID and a utility bill matching the traveler's name and address, dated within 3 months of start, required for consideration
• Two supervisory references required for consideration

Responsibilities

• 12-hour night shifts, 3x12, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 1:2 patient ratio
• Floating required to other units, including other facility campuses, within a 75-mile radius
• No block scheduling requests accepted
• Provide critical care nursing to medical ICU patients with complex, multisystem conditions
• Perform advanced procedures such as IABP monitoring, CVP monitoring, sheath removal, and CVVHD/CRRT management as needed
• Support renal, cardiovascular, endocrine, and neurological patient needs including stroke management and hypothermia protocols
• Maximum of 5 days RTO allowed per 13-week assignment; no holiday RTO permitted
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Former INTEGRIS employees must have at least 1 year of separation before being eligible for travel assignments
• First-time travelers are not specified as eligible; prior travel experience is required
• Employment gaps of 3 months or more must be explained in work history
