- Minimum one year of nursing experience required.
- Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN from an accredited nursing school required.
- BSN or MSN preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provides direct patient care as part of a float team supporting multiple ICU specialties.
- Coordinates and delivers care using the nursing process in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team.
- Performs bedside point-of-care testing as needed.
- Participates in patient/family education and discharge planning.
- Follows hospital nursing standards, policies, and procedures for safe and cost-effective care.
- Engages in unit performance improvement activities and professional development.

- Hospital-based Inpatient Float Pool ICU position floating across Surgical, Neuro, Medicine, Cardiac, Cardiovascular, and Burn Center ICUs based on unit needs
- May also float to stepdown units as needed
- Patient ratios generally 1:1 up to a maximum of 1:3 in ICU, and 1:3 in stepdown units
- 0.9 FTE
- Every other weekend (EOW) required
- Every other holiday (EOH) required
- No on-call requirements
- Block weekend schedule available
