Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is hiring an experienced ICU Registered Nurse for a night shift assignment across multiple hospitals in New Jersey. Requires an active NJ or Compact RN license, BLS/ACLS, and 2+ years ICU experience. Epic experience preferred; dysrhythmia exam within 72 hours of signing; vaccines required.

The role involves float coverage between ICU and PCU, with 3x12-hour night shifts (19:00–07:00) and weekend/holiday rotation. First-time travelers welcome.

Qualifications

• Active NJ or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience required within the last 12 months
• Must pass a dysrhythmia exam within 72 hours of signing, taken on a PC (not compatible with iOS devices)
• Epic experience preferred
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required with no exemptions

Responsibilities

• Work in the ICU, with float requirements between ICU and PCU
• May be required to float within 5 hospitals in the system based on staffing needs
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 7:00
• Block scheduling is not permitted
• Every other weekend and every other holiday rotation required
• RTO must be submitted at time of profile submission; requests after submission will not be accepted
• No RTO permitted during the first week of the assignment
• Pre-employment labs must be completed within 48 hours of signing
• Must be clean shaven for fit testing prior to working on the unit
• First-time travelers accepted
• Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are subject to the local rate
