American Traveler, LLC. seeks an experienced ICU RN for a travel assignment in South Carolina. The ideal candidate has 2+ years ICU acute care in a US hospital, active SC or compact RN license, and required BLS/ACLS/NIHSS plus CPI certification. Cerner EMR experience and two recent supervisor references are also needed.

Position features include a 3x12 night schedule, generous housing allowance, travel and licensure reimbursements, day-one benefits, and per diem options.

Qualifications

• Active SC or compact RN license; no pending licenses.
• Minimum 2 years ICU acute care experience in a US hospital.
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications required (AHA).
• CPI certification required (Crisis Prevention Institute).
• Cerner EMR experience required.
• Two manager or supervisor references within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Multidisciplinary ICU care for neurological, neuro-surgical, medical, surgical, pulmonary, cardiology, cardiothoracic, and trauma patients.
• Night shift with 3x12-hour shifts per week.
• Uses advanced critical care technology including ventilators, monitors, lines, ECMO/tandem heart, BIS, CRRT, ileum tubes, infusion pumps.
• Deliver patient care for critically ill patients per licensure and regulatory requirements.
• Must reside more than 100 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted.

Requirements

• Active SC or compact RN license required, no pending licenses accepted
• Minimum 2 years of ICU acute care experience required in a US hospital setting
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required (AHA only)
• CPI certification required (Crisis Prevention Institute's NCI with Advanced Physical Skills Training course)
• BSN highly desired
• Cerner EMR experience required
• Two manager or supervisor references required, with at least one from the most recent employer within the past 12 months

Responsibilities

• Multidisciplinary ICU providing care for neurological, neuro-surgical, medical, surgical, pulmonary, cardiology, cardiothoracic, and trauma patients
• Night shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts per week
• Utilizes advanced critical care technology including ventilators, ventriculostomies, cardiac monitors, pulmonary artery catheters, arterial lines, central lines, PICC lines, IABP, ECMO/tandem heart, Impella, BIS monitors, continuous pulse oximetry, CRRT, gastric tubes, and IV infusion pumps
• Cerner EMR experience required
• Deliver patient care for critically ill neurological, surgical, pulmonary, cardiac, and trauma patients using advanced monitoring and life support technology
• Perform patient care functions and tasks in accordance with licensure, certification, training, and regulatory requirements
• Must reside more than 100 miles from the facility, as local candidates are not accepted
