Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is hiring an RN - Home Health for a day shift assignment in the Tampa area. The role requires skilled home health experience, OASIS training, infusion experience, IV and wound care, plus a valid FL or compact RN license and BLS.

Private duty nursing alone is not accepted; a valid driver’s license and personal vehicle are required for home visits. Travel and housing support are offered as part of benefits.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Florida or a compact state is required.
• BLS certification is mandatory.
• Skilled home health experience with OASIS training is required.
• Infusion, IV skills and wound care experience are necessary.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled home health nursing to Medicare, Medicare Advantage and commercial patients.
• Manage a caseload of 6-8 home visits per day.
• Perform cardiopulmonary assessment, wound care, IV/IM injections, venipuncture and cath care.
• Adjust visits to office needs; day shifts with rotating weekends possible.
• Document using BayCare forms and scheduling systems; ensure patient safety.
• Deliver high-quality care with adherence to infection control and privacy standards.

American Traveler is hiring an RN - Home Health with skilled home care and infusion experience for a day shift assignment in the Tampa area.

Requirements

• Active FL or compact RN license required
• BLS certification required
• 1 year of nursing experience required
• Skilled home health experience required with OASIS training and experience
• Infusion experience required
• IV skills and wound care experience required
• Private duty nursing experience alone will not be accepted in lieu of skilled home care experience
• Valid driver's license and personal vehicle required for home visits

Responsibilities

• Skilled home care setting serving Medicare, Medicare Advantage, and commercial insurance patients
• Caseload of 6-8 home skilled visits per day
• Day shift schedules vary by office needs, including Mon-Fri 8a-5p, Mon-Fri 9a-6p, Thurs-Mon or Fri-Tues rotations, and alternating weekends
• Patient population includes high-risk diagnoses such as HF, COPD, MI, pneumonia, and stroke, as well as general medical and post-op care
• Performs cardiopulmonary assessments, basic wound care, ABI compression dressings, wound vac dressing changes, Pleurx/Aseptdrain care, foley catheter changes, staple/suture removal, glucometer and pro-time machine use, SQ/IM injections, venipuncture, PICC line/Midline care, and SQ port access/deaccess
• Visits and hours are self-scheduled based on office needs
• Uses BayCare Forms, BayCare Scheduling, and Ace Timesheet documentation systems
• Provides direct skilled nursing care to home health patients with a range of high-risk and general medical diagnoses
• Any solid color scrub permitted
• Must be COVID vaccinated or have an exemption form on file
• Must have flu shot or signed declination, with mandatory mask wearing at all times while at work if declined
