American Traveler, LLC. is seeking a Home Health Registered Nurse for a North San Diego field position. Requires CA RN license and HCHB/Oasis experience. Quick onboarding and a geriatric home care focus with travel between patient homes.

The role covers a 50-mile radius with a typical 5–7 patient daily caseload, day shift, and no on-call duties. Mileage is reimbursed; benefits include health coverage, 401(k), and travel/licensure support.

Qualifications

• Active CA RN license required.
• BLS certification required.
• Minimum 1 year home health experience.
• Oasis experience required.
• HCHB charting experience required.
• Clinical assessment documentation, infection control, vital signs, and care coordination skills.
• Experience with respiratory care including nebulizer teaching and oxygen safety.

Responsibilities

• Field RN position covering the North San Diego territory.
• Home health setting serving geriatric patients.
• Average caseload of 5–7 patients per day.
• Day shift, Monday–Friday, with one weekend per month.
• No on-call responsibilities.
• Territory within 50 miles of office hub; mileage reimbursed at IRS rate.
• Admissions assessments, case management, recertifications, and discharge planning.
• Work in adult home health and home infusion settings.
• Document significant changes in patient condition and start of care.

American Traveler is hiring a Home Health RN for a North San Diego field position requiring a CA RN license and HCHB/Oasis experience.

Requirements

• Active CA RN license in hand
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of home health experience required
• Oasis experience required
• HomeCare HomeBase (HCHB) charting system experience required
• Skilled in clinical assessment documentation, infection control precautions, vital signs, and care coordination
• Experience with respiratory care including nebulizer utilization/teaching and oxygen safety/administration
• Phlebotomy and IV management skills, including starting and maintaining IVs

Responsibilities

• Field RN position covering the North San Diego territory, including La Jolla, downtown, Mission Valley, Mira Mesa, and Tierrasanta
• Home health setting serving a geriatric patient population
• Average caseload of 5-7 patients per day
• Day shift schedule, Monday-Friday, with one required weekend per month
• No on-call responsibilities
• Territory covers a 50-mile radius from the office hub
• Mileage reimbursed at the IRS standard rate between patient homes
• Responsibilities include admission assessments, case management, recertifications, resumption of care, routine visits, and discharge planning
• Works within adult home health and home infusion settings
• Documents significant changes in patient condition and start of care visits
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
