Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a Home Health RN with strong, recent home health experience and a NJ or compact RN license to provide in-home nursing care to patients discharged from hospitals and nursing facilities.

The role requires OASIS and Epic EMR experience, a valid driver license, and a current BLS certification not expiring within 30 days of start. Day shift 8:30 AM–5:00 PM with a 6-visit productivity expectation and no mileage reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Active NJ or Compact RN license.
• Minimum 2 years of recent Home Health experience.
• Med Surg skills required.
• OASIS and Epic EMR experience required.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
• Current BLS certification that does not expire within 30 days of assignment start.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home nursing care to patients discharged from hospitals and nursing facilities.
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
• Common diagnoses include wound care, wound vacs, Pleurx drains, ostomies, heart failure, diabetes, oncology, post-surgical, and ortho cases.
• Productivity expectation of 6 visits per day or equivalent (admissions count as 2 visits).
• Required to work every 5th weekend.
• Required to work every other holiday.
• Deliver skilled home health nursing care to patients recently discharged from hospital or nursing facility settings.
• No mileage reimbursement provided
