Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Home Health RN with a Hawaii RN license and at least 1 year of home health experience, including OASIS documentation, to provide in-home nursing care to patients in the Honolulu area.

The role features a day shift (8:00 AM–4:30 PM) with a 1:1 patient ratio, no on-call duties, and occasional floating to Kauai, Maui, or the Big Island with travel expenses paid.

Qualifications

• Active Hawaii RN license required
• Current BLS (AHA) certified
• Minimum 1 year Home Health nursing experience
• At least 3 months of OASIS documentation experience
• Experience with admission assessments, case management, recertification, resumption of care, discharge planning
• Proficient in wound care, ostomy/ileostomy, G-tube/NG tube care, catheter management, drain management
• Experience with IV therapy, phlebotomy, peripheral IVs, central lines, ports
• Experience administering blood/blood products
• Pain management, medication assessment, monitoring chemotherapy side effects
• Vital signs, infection control, clinical documentation
• Psychiatric home health and tracheostomy care preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home nursing care to Honolulu-area patients
• Work day shift 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, 5x8 schedule
• No on-call responsibilities
• Handle 1:1 patient care with accurate documentation
• Occasional float to Kauai, Maui, Big Island with travel expenses paid
• Deliver comprehensive care across wound, GI, GU, respiratory, oncology needs
• Coordinate services and maintain thorough clinical documentation for each visit
• Adhere to scrubs and closed-toed shoes policy
• Travelers considered for first-time deployments

• Proficient in pain management, medication assessment, and monitoring chemotherapy side effects
• Skilled in obtaining vital signs, infection control precautions, and clinical assessment documentation
• Psychiatric home health and tracheostomy care experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Home Health setting serving kupuna (elderly patients) in their homes in Honolulu
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• No on-call responsibilities required
• 25 productivity units expected per week
• Occasional floating to cover Kauai, Maui, and/or Big Island with float expenses paid
• 1:1 patient ratio
• HomeCare HomeBase (HCHB) documentation experience preferred
• Provide comprehensive in-home nursing care to elderly patients across various clinical needs including wound care, GI, GU, respiratory, and oncology-related conditions
• Coordinate services and maintain thorough clinical documentation for each patient visit
• Scrubs (any color) and closed-toed shoes required for this role
• First-time travelers may be considered for this position
