American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a GI Lab position in Illinois. Requires 2+ years GI/procedural experience and recovery/PACU skills; active IL RN license; BLS and ACLS; Epic EMR experience; EKG tests; travel or PRN experience preferred. Day shift, 36–40 hours weekly, 8-week contract, no weekends or on-call.

Qualifications

• Active IL RN license required.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA preferred; ARC accepted for BLS).
• Minimum 2 years of GI Lab experience required.
• Documented recovery experience including PACU and telemetry/procedural settings.
• Epic EMR experience required and must be reflected in employment history.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital GI Lab setting.
• Admitting and recovering patients in Phase II, with possible procedure-room participation.
• Day shift schedule with start times between 0730-0900.
• Approximately 36-40 hours per week.
• No weekend or holiday requirements.
• No on-call requirements.
• Possible floating to Highland Park, Skokie, and Evanston GI labs.
• Day 1 orientation includes EKG testing, training modules, and Epic competency testing.
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate.

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a GI Lab position requiring 2+ years of GI/procedural experience and recovery/PACU skills.

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (American Heart Association preferred; American Red Cross accepted for BLS)
• Minimum 2 years of GI Lab experience required
• Documented recovery experience required, including PACU and telemetry/procedural settings
• Travel or PRN experience preferred
• Epic EMR experience required and must be reflected in employment history
• Must pass a pre-submission EKG test with a score of 80% or higher
• Must pass an on-site EKG test on Day 1 of orientation to continue the assignment
• New graduates will not be considered

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital GI Lab setting
• Responsible for admitting and recovering patients in Phase II, with possible participation in the procedure room
• Day shift schedule with varying start times between 0730-0900
• Approximately 36-40 hours per week
• No weekend or holiday requirements
• No on-call requirements
• Possible floating to Highland Park, Skokie, and Evanston GI labs
• Day 1 orientation includes EKG testing, training modules, and Epic competency testing (approximately 6-8 hours)
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate
• Returning permanent or per diem staff must have a 12-month break in service before being considered as a traveler
• RTO limited to a maximum of 3 days for this 8-week contract
• Candidates should expect a brief facility interview of approximately 10-15 minutes
