Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced GI Lab RN for a day shift contract in Illinois. The role requires PACU, telemetry, and procedural recovery experience in a hospital GI Lab.

You must hold an IL RN license, BLS/ACLS, Epic EMR experience, and be able to pass an on-site EKG test. Travel or PRN candidates are welcome.

Qualifications

• Active IL RN license required.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Minimum 2 years of GI Lab RN experience required.
• Documented PACU, telemetry, and procedural recovery experience required.
• Epic EMR experience required and noted in employment history.
• Must pass an on-site EKG test with 80% or higher before consideration.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital GI Lab setting.
• Admit and recover GI Lab patients in Phase II, with possible participation in the procedure room.
• Day shift schedule with varying start times between 07:30-09:00.
• Approximately 36-40 hours per week.
• No weekend or holiday requirements.
• No on-call requirements.
• Possible floating to Highland Park, Skokie, and Evanston GI labs.
• Orientation includes EKG testing and Epic system testing.

• Work in a hospital GI Lab setting
• Responsible for admitting patients and recovering patients in Phase II, with possible participation in the procedure room
• Day shift schedule with varying start times between 0730-0900
• Approximately 36-40 hours per week
• No weekend or holiday requirements
• No on-call requirements
• Possible floating to Highland Park, Skokie, and Evanston GI labs
• Admits and recovers GI Lab patients, with possible involvement in the procedure room
• Day 1 orientation includes EKG testing, training modules, and Epic system testing (approximately 6-8 hours)
• Must pass an on-site EKG test during orientation to continue the assignment
• New graduates will not be considered for this position
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate
• Returning permanent or per diem staff must have been away for at least 12 months to be considered as a traveler
• RTO limited to a maximum of 7 days for 13-week contracts
