Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a GI/Endoscopy RN with airway management and PACU experience for a 13-week assignment in a busy endoscopy center.

Responsibilities include working in a four-room Endoscopy Center with 9 PACU bays, floating to PACU, and rotating weekday/weekend call. Navy blue scrubs are required, and candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius to qualify for travel status.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (TX or Compact) required.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required.
• Airway management and PACU experience required for consideration.
• GI experience preferred.
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration.
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Work in a Methodist Endoscopy Center with 4 procedure rooms and 9 PACU bays.
• Unit staffed with 8 RNs, 5 techs, 1 X-ray technician, and 1 transport staff member.
• PACU patient ratio of 1 nurse to 2 patients.
• Perform endoscopy procedures using airway management equipment.
• Uses Meditech EMR.
• 4x10-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
• Floating to PACU required.
• Rotating weekday and weekend call required.
• Provide nursing care in a fast-paced endoscopy and PACU setting.
• Energetic personality is a strong fit for this team.
• Navy blue scrubs required.
• Must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for this travel position.
