Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring 2+ years of ED experience and NC or compact RN licensure.

Details

• Emergency Department setting within a 294-bed hospital
• 26-bed unit with all patient populations including geriatric, adult, and pediatric
• Patient ratios of 1:4-5, flexible depending on acuity
• Uses GE monitors and standard ED equipment
• Meditech EMR experience preferred
• 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM shift schedule
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required to like assignments
• No call requirements

Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license required
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NIHSS

• Experience treating respiratory distress, overdose, CHF, dialysis, and hypertension patients preferred

• Located in Wilson, NC, 45 miles east of Raleigh and about 2 hours from the NC coast
• Approximately 1 hour from Duke, NC State, UNC Chapel Hill, and East Carolina University
• Team player with an engaged, positive attitude preferred
• Scrubs of any color accepted
• Candidates must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for the travel rate
• Candidates cannot have worked permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full time
