Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced RN for a fast-paced Emergency Department travel assignment in Kansas. Requires 1+ year ED RN experience, KS or compact license, and multiple certifications. Night shifts (7:00 PM–7:00 AM) with a 52-bed freestanding ED and team-oriented staffing.

Candidate must meet background requirements, including no 90+ day gaps in the past year, SSN/date of birth, and one reference. Housing, stipends, and relocation support are offered where applicable.

Qualifications

• Active KS or compact RN license required.
• Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Department RN experience.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC.
• CPI Blue Card required.
• Meditech EMR experience preferred.
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months.
• Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration.
• One professional reference required.

Responsibilities

• Freestanding Emergency Department setting with 52 beds.
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
• Patient ratios average 3:1, with low acuity patients at 5:1 and team nursing for pediatric patients.
• Staffing per shift includes 1 charge nurse, 4 nurses, 1 tech, 1 unit clerk, 1 physician, and 1 midlevel per pod.
• Uses Alaris infusion pumps and Meditech EMR.
• Typical procedures include IV starts, medication administration, sedations, and pediatric care.
• 13-week assignment length.
• Work in a fast-paced ER environment supporting a diverse, high-energy team.
• Expected to scan patients and medications at every administration.
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates will be considered.
• First-time travelers may be considered if they meet minimum experience requirements.
