Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department role in Illinois with Level 1 Trauma experience and Epic charting proficiency.

The position requires an active IL RN license in good standing, BLS/ACLS/PALS, and at least three years of nursing experience, with ASN required and BSN preferred. The role features night shifts (3:00 PM–3:00 AM), 36 hours weekly across three 12-hour shifts, and a rotating holiday/ weekend schedule.

Qualifications

• Active Illinois RN license in good standing (temp license accepted).
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (American Heart Association).
• Minimum of three years of relevant nursing experience.
• ASN required, BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Emergency Department setting within a hospital.
• Night shift schedule from 3:00PM to 3:00AM.
• 36 hours per week across three 12-hour shifts.
• Every other weekend required.
• Holiday coverage on a rotation basis.
• Floating required as needed.
• Uses Epic EMR for charting.
• Provide direct patient care in a high-risk Emergency Department setting.
• Perform patient assessments and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with providers and families.
• Implement and modify nursing interventions based on continuous patient evaluation.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient documentation.
• Collaborate with staff, visitors, and families to promote a healthy work environment.
• Participate in professional development and peer feedback activities.
