Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position in Illinois. The role requires Level 1 Trauma experience and Epic charting proficiency.

The ideal candidate holds an Illinois RN license, BLS/ACLS/PALS, and appropriate trauma certifications, with at least three years of ED nursing and Epic EMR experience. This is a travel contract with potential housing and travel reimbursements.

Qualifications

• Active Illinois RN license in good standing (temporary license accepted).
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS (American Heart Association).
• TNCC, TNS, or TCRN certification required.
• Minimum of three years of relevant nursing experience.
• ASN required, BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Emergency Department setting within a hospital.
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week.
• Flexible/rotating weekend and holiday shift requirements.
• Uses Epic EMR charting system.
• Assumes responsibility for a group of ED patients, performing assessments, developing care plans, and implementing nursing interventions.
• Collaborates with providers, patients, and families to modify care plans based on continuous assessment.
• Maintains accurate and up-to-date patient documentation.
• Provides constructive feedback to peers to support professional development.
• Responsible for patient and staff safety by identifying and reporting hazards.
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for the position.
• RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract.
• Candidates previously employed by the health system within the past 6 months are not eligible to return.
