Responsibilities

• Work in the Emergency Department within a hospital.
• Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week.
• No on-call responsibilities.
• Float to other departments and facilities as needed (including Perry Hospital).
• Use Epic charting system for documentation.
• Nurse Manager interview as part of the process.
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; no local candidates.
• Separation requirements for former Emory and Houston Perm staff vary by prior affiliation.
• RTO requests limited by holiday considerations.

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Department RN with 18 months of ER experience and GA or compact RN licensure for a night shift travel assignment.

Requirements

• Active GA or compact RN license required in hand
• Minimum 18 months of ER experience required
• Experience with ventilator management and telemetry interpretation required
• Proficiency in IV insertion and PICC lines required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Current certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS required

Responsibilities

• Emergency Department setting within a hospital
• Night shift (NOC), 3x12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
• No on-call responsibilities
• Float required to other departments and facilities, including Perry Hospital, based on need
• Uses Epic charting system
• Interview process includes a Nurse Manager interview
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; no local candidates considered
• Former Emory and Houston Perm staff must be separated for 1 year before returning to the health system, or 18 months if returning to the same facility
• RTO requests are limited to a maximum of 5 days if not near a holiday, or 3 days if on/near a holiday, with only 1 holiday request allowed
