American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring a PA or compact RN license and BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications. Night shift, 3x12 hours, 1:3 patient ratio, with rotating weekends and holidays.

PA fingerprinting and clearances required after contract sign. Ideal candidates have 1+ year of RN experience, supervisory reference, and strong abilities in cardiac care, IV therapy, and ventilated patient management.

Qualifications

• Active PA or compact RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Skilled in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and emergency response
• Proficient in IV therapy, phlebotomy, and central line care/management
• Experience with IV vasopressors and medication administration
• Respiratory skills including BiPAP/CPAP management and care of ventilated patients
• Knowledge of isolation precautions, PPE, and triage protocols
• One supervisory reference from within the past year required for consideration

Responsabilités

• Night shift, 3x12 hours (19:00-07:00) in the Emergency Department
• Patient ratio of 1:3
• Every other weekend and every other holiday rotation
• Triage, emergency response, and management of critical and dysrhythmic patients
• Must complete PA fingerprinting and ChildLine clearance within 48 hours of signing contract, with fingerprinting completed in PA
• Must complete required lab work within 72 hours of signing contract
• Candidates must respond promptly and cooperate with credentialing to avoid risk of cancellation
• Previous Penn Highlands Healthcare employment history must be disclosed; former perm or per diem staff must wait 18 months before returning as travelers
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
