Job summary

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Department RN for a 13-week assignment at an acute care facility in North Carolina. The role requires an active RN license (NC or Compact) and current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications, with a minimum of 1 year ED experience and ADN education.

Travel rate eligible if residing 60 miles or more from the facility. The ED features 24 beds, with a fast track and extension area, uses Meditech EHR, and offers comprehensive benefits and housing

• Minimum 1 year of ED experience required.
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
• ADN degree required.

Responsibilities

• 24-bed ED serving all patient ages.
• Main area with 12 beds at 4:1 ratio; Fast Track with 5 rooms at 5:1; extension area with 6 beds at 6:1.
• Subwaiting room managed by charge nurse.
• Uses Meditech EHR.
• 12-hour shifts from 12p-12a.
• Required to work every other weekend.
• No call and no floating required.

• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
• Active license verification via Nursys required at time of consideration

• Subwaiting room managed primarily by charge nurse

• Required to work every other weekend
• No call requirements
• No floating required
• Facility is a Primary Stroke Center and Chest Pain Accredited
• Team-oriented environment seeking well-rounded, collaborative candidates
• Scrubs of any color permitted; no derogatory expressions on attire
• Must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to qualify for travel rate
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Must not be employed elsewhere full-time
