Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking a registered nurse for an Emergency Department assignment in Roxboro, NC. Requires active RN license (NC or compact), BLS, ACLS, PALS, and ER or critical care experience. The 16-bed ED uses Meditech EHR and offers travel benefits.

Shifts are 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM with rotating weekends, no on-call, patient ratios up to 1:6, housing and licensure reimbursements, and per diem non-taxed subsidies. Candidates must reside 60 miles or more away to qualify for travel pay.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (NC or Compact).
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS.
• 1+ year critical care or ER experience; 2+ preferred.

Responsibilities

• ER has 16 beds in a full-service hospital.
• Shift runs 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
• Rotating weekends; no on-call required.
• No floating to other units.
• Patient ratios up to 1:6 (typically 1:4).
• Uses Meditech EHR.

American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Emergency Department position requiring RN, BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications along with critical care or ER experience.

Requirements

• Active RN license (NC or Compact) currently in hand
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• Minimum 1 year of critical care or ER experience required, 2 years preferred
• Skilled in peripheral IV starts, male and female foley catheterization, NG/OG tube placement, and EKG
• Experience assisting with arterial line and central line insertion and management

Responsibilities

• 16-bed Emergency Room in a full-service, Joint Commission accredited hospital
• Shift runs 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Rotating weekends required with no on-call responsibilities
• No floating required
• Patient ratios of 1:6 at most, typically 1:4
• Uses Meditech EHR
• Weekly orientation held on Mondays
• Must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to qualify for travel rate
• Candidates must not have worked permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Cannot be employed elsewhere full time while on assignment
