Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is hiring an RN for an Emergency Department position in Oregon. The role requires 1.5+ years of ED experience and proficiency with Epic charting.

The ED traveler will cover day shifts (3x12) with a 1:4 patient ratio, and may float to a nearby campus in Madras while Prineville remains the primary site. RTO is restricted and on-site work is expected.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (Standard or Compact) currently in hand.
• 1.5+ years of Emergency Department experience.
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS.
• Epic EMR experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver emergency care to adult and pediatric patients.
• Work day shifts: 3x12 hours (5:45 AM–6:15 PM).
• Maintain patient ratios around 1:4; no on-call requirements.
• Possible float to nearby Madras campus; Prineville remaining primary.
• Complete annual orientation modules per specialty.

American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Emergency Department position requiring 1.5+ years of ED experience and Epic charting proficiency.

Requirements

• Active RN license (Standard or Compact) currently in hand - pending licenses not accepted
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 1.5 years of Emergency Department experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Trauma Level I or II experience preferred
• Proficiency in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and multisystem organ dysfunction care
• Skilled in IV therapy, phlebotomy, central line care, and IV medication management including vasopressors and continuous sedation
• Experience with BiPAP/CPAP management, ABG interpretation, and care of ventilated patients
• Knowledge of isolation precautions, PPE protocols, and triage procedures

Responsibilities

• Combined adult/pediatric Emergency Department setting
• Day shift schedule of 3x12 hours (5:45 AM-6:15 PM)
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Potential to float to a nearby campus in Madras if needed, though Prineville will serve as the primary location
• No on-call requirements
• Provide emergency care to a combined adult and pediatric patient population
• Complete annual facility modules during orientation, with specific requirements varying by specialty
• First-time travelers may be considered depending on experience level
• Local candidates are not accepted; candidates must reside outside a 75-mile radius of the facility
• RTO restricted to 7 days
