Job summary

American Traveler is hiring an ER RN for a Level I Trauma Center in Oregon. Requires at least 1 year of ER nursing experience, ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications, and an active RN license (Compact acceptable). Epic EMR experience is required.

The role features day shifts (3x12 hours), a 1:3 patient ratio on average, travel-friendly terms, and a strong benefits package. First-time travelers are welcome.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (Compact must be in hand at submission)
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS (PMAB Training and TNCC preferred)
• Minimum of 1 year of ER nursing experience
• Epic EMR experience

Responsibilities

• Work in the Emergency Department of a short-term acute care teaching hospital
• Level I Trauma Center facility with STEMI and Stroke Certification
• Patient ratio around 1:3 on average
• Day shift schedule (3x12 hours) with start times 0700/1000/1200
• Work every other weekend
• Float to other units and sister facilities as needed
• No on-call requirements
• Uses Epic charting system
• Provide emergency care including cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and procedural sedation/monitoring
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Must reside within 50 miles for local candidate consideration
• Local candidates may be accepted at a lower bill rate
• Former permanent staff may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period
• Can only be submitted to one Providence facility at a time
• Must commit to 3 of 5 major holidays
• Scrub colors open; scrubs provided for OR/Cath Lab
• No parking fees

American Traveler is hiring an ER RN for a Level I Trauma Center requiring at least 1 year of experience and ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications.

Requirements

• Active RN license (Compact must be in hand at submission)
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS (PMAB Training and TNCC preferred)
• Minimum of 1 year of ER nursing experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Skills required: IV therapy/phlebotomy, arterial line management, central line care/management, care of ventilated patients, and respiratory care
• Experience with isolation precautions/PPE and triage required
• Must have a personal vehicle for this assignment
• Two supervisory references covering 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required

Responsibilities

• Work in the Emergency Department of a short-term acute care, teaching hospital

• Expected patient ratio of 1:3 on average
• Day shift schedule (3x12 hours) with variable start times of 0700, 1000, or 1200
• Required to work every other weekend
• Floating to other units and sister facilities based on skill set and facility needs
• No on-call requirements

• Provide emergency care including cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and procedural sedation administration/monitoring
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Must reside within 50 miles for local candidate consideration, though local candidates may be accepted at a lower bill rate
• Former permanent staff may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period, provided they do not live within 50 miles of the facility
• Can only be submitted to one Providence facility at a time
• Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
