Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift ER RN for a 13-week assignment in Oklahoma. Requires an active OK or Compact RN license and ED experience. Eligible candidates must meet trauma center and certifications requirements and are welcome to travel.

Night shifts are 12-hour blocks (18:45-07:15) with 1:4–5 patient ratios. Housing allowance and travel support offered.

Qualifications

• Active OK or Compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Certifications ACLS, BLS, CPI, NIHSS required (ENPC, PALS, TNCC preferred)
• Epic charting system experience required

Responsibilities

• Treat both adult and pediatric patients in a 12-room General ED
• Night shift schedule 3x12 hours (18:45-07:15)
• Weekend shifts required
• Patient ratio 1:4-5
• Epic charting system experience required
• Floating to like units within scope as needed with orientation provided
• Provide emergency care across trauma, cardiac, psychiatric and respiratory cases
• Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be considered
• First time travelers are welcome to apply
• Former staff must have been separated for at least one year before returning as a traveler
• No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved; no RTO during first week of orientation
• Travel pairs or groups not accepted

Job description

American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift ER RN for a 13-week assignment requiring an active OK or Compact RN license and emergency department experience.

Requirements

• Active OK or Compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI, and NIHSS required (ENPC, PALS, and TNCC preferred)
• Prior charge nurse experience preferred
• Level I and Level II Trauma Center experience preferred
• Skilled in triage, EKG/ECG interpretation, dysrhythmia management, and emergency medication administration
• Experience managing pediatric, psychiatric, respiratory, and neurological emergency cases preferred
• Experience with procedural sedation, IV therapy, and ventilated patient care preferred

Responsibilities

• Work in a 12-room General Emergency Department treating combined adult and pediatric patients
• Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 18:45-07:15)
• Weekend shifts required
• Patient ratio of 1:4-5
• Epic charting system experience required
• Floating to like units within scope expected as needed, with brief orientation provided
• Provide emergency care across adult and pediatric populations including trauma, cardiac, psychiatric, and respiratory cases
