American Traveler is seeking an experienced ER RN for a 13-week night shift assignment in Nebraska. Requires a compact or NE RN license and multiple advanced certifications. You must reside at least 50 miles from the facility and hold ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, NRP, PALS, TNCC, and ENPC.

Travel and licensure reimbursements are included. Responsibilities include triage, 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio, EPIC EMR charting, and shift coverage on nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (NE State or Compact/NLC)
• Minimum 2 years RN experience
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA), NIHSS, NRP, PALS, TNCC, ENPC
• Driver's license required for consideration and used to verify residency distance
• Two professional references: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer/supervisor from within the last 3 years with employment dates and rehire eligibility

Responsabilités

• Acute care Emergency Department with 11 beds, 3 triage rooms, 2 trauma bays, and 4 hall beds
• Handles approximately 41 patients per day with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Treats abdominal pain, trauma, chest pain, eye/ear issues, and pediatric patients
• Travelers assist with triage duties
• ED holds are managed within the department by ED nursing staff
• Tele monitoring is used in the unit and RNs read strips
• X-ray comes to the ED; CT is nearby; ED staff transport patients
• Phlebotomy and nurse-performed blood draws are utilized
• RT manages ventilators, CPAP/BiPAP, high-flow therapy, ABGs, and breathing treatments
• EPIC EMR used for charting
• 12-hour night shifts with scheduling needs for 1400-0230 and 1800-0630
• Weekend and holiday coverage required
• Call or standby requirement in place
• No floating required
• Residency distance: at least 50 miles from facility
• No prior direct employment with CommonSpirit/CHI/Dignity-affiliated facility within past year
• Artificial nails prohibited in patient care areas; open-book skills exam with minimum score 90% during orientation

• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
• Candidates may not have been directly employed in any capacity (full time, part time, or PRN) with any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity-affiliated facility within the past year
• Artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care areas; refusal to remove them will result in contract termination
• RNs must pass a pass/fail, open-book skills exam during orientation with a minimum score of 90%, or their contract will be terminated
• Dress code requires navy scrubs or approved CHI t-shirts
• Unit-specific orientation provided
• First-time travelers may be considered for this position
