Job summary
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a busy Emergency Department in Olathe, Kansas. This travel assignment requires at least 1 year of recent ED experience and current BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and Conscious Sedation competencies.
Shifts are 12-hour nights (1900–0730) with a 36-hour workweek and up to 3 weekend night shifts per pay period. Start date is Sep 28, 2026 for a 14-week assignment. Local and travel candidates are considered.
Qualifications
- Active KS or Multi-State compact RN license required
- Minimum 1 year of ED experience within the last 12 months required
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and Conscious Sedation Competency certifications required
- TNCC certification preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide care in a 29-bed Emergency Department serving the southern half of Johnson County
- Manage chest pain and primary stroke center patients with daily volumes around 120
- Maintain patient ratios of 3:1 or 4:1 as needed
- Work 12-hour night shifts, 1900-0730, three shifts per week; up to 3 weekend night shifts per pay period

- 29-bed Emergency Department serving the southern half of Johnson County
- Chest pain and primary stroke center handling daily volumes of around 120 patients
- Cares for some inpatient boarders but will not float out of the unit
- Patient ratios of 3:1 or 4:1 as needed
- 12-hour night shifts, 1900-0730, three shifts per week
- Up to 3 weekend night shifts (Fri/Sat/Sun) per pay period
- No on-call requirements

- Facility is a nicotine-free campus
- Accepts local and travel candidates at the same bill rate
