American Traveler, LLC. is hiring an Emergency Department RN with 2+ years of ER experience and ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, and TNCC certifications for an assignment in Illinois. The role requires an active IL RN license, prior travel RN experience, and Epic charting proficiency.

CPI preferred; navy scrubs required for this unit. The position features 3x12 or 4x12 day shifts (11:00-23:30), 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week cycle, no call, and rotating holidays.

Responsibilities

• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC

• Skilled in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Experience with IV therapy, phlebotomy, and IV medication administration
• Experience with CPAP/BiPAP management
• Experience treating CVA, neuro-trauma, ortho-trauma, head injuries, gunshot wounds, and traumatic amputations
• Skilled in triage

Responsibilities

• Emergency Department setting at a STEMI and stroke certified facility
• General ED serving combined adult/pediatric population
• 1:4 patient ratio
• 3x12 or 4x12 day shift schedule (11:00-23:30)
• 6 scheduled weekend shifts (Sat/Sun) within a 6 week schedule
• No call requirement
• Rotating holiday coverage required
• Epic charting system used
• Care for patients with a wide range of emergent conditions including cardiac, neurological, orthopedic, and trauma cases
• Must be clean-shaven to ensure proper mask seal for respirator fit testing; no medical or religious exemptions permitted
• Navy scrubs required
• First-time travelers not accepted for this unit
• Candidates living within 70 miles of the facility are considered local and will not be accepted
• Clinicians cannot work past 1 year as a traveler without taking a 6 month break before returning
