Job summary

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring CO or compact RN licensure and multiple specialty certifications. You will work in a hospital ED, with 12-hour day shifts and a rotating weekend schedule, totaling 36 hours per week over 3 days.

The role requires at least 1 year in ED, active BLS/ACLS/PALS and specialized certifications (TNCC, ENPC, NIHSS). ASN is required; BSN preferred, Epic EMR experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (CO Single State or Compact) required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in the Emergency Department specialty required.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications (AHA) required and must not expire prior to start.
• TNCC, ENPC, and NIHSS certifications required.
• ASN required; BSN preferred.
• Epic EMR experience preferred.
• DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Emergency Department of a hospital setting.
• 12-hour day shifts from 0700-1930.
• Rotating weekend schedule required.
• 36 hours per week over 3 days.
• May be required to float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications.
• May be placed on-call during a regularly scheduled shift.
• Uses Epic charting system.
• Perform independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions per state Board of Nursing standards.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in the ED.
• Provide health teaching, counseling, and therapeutic treatment to patients.
• Document care in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines.
• Refer patients for further evaluation or treatment as needed.
• Former Intermountain permanent staff must be separated for at least one year before being eligible for this assignment
