Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position with 2+ years of current ED experience and required certifications. The role features a 12-hour shifts, a 36-hour weekly guarantee, and a travel-nurse assignment with housing/benefits provided.

Requirements include VT RN license or compact, BLS/ACLS/PALS/TNCC, 3+ months travel nursing, and a supervisory reference within 2 years. Local candidates within 50 miles are not eligible, and a vehicle is required.

Qualifications

• Active VT RN license or compact license required
• Current BLS/ACLS/PALS/TNCC certifications
• 2+ years ED experience in a hospital setting
• 3+ months travel nursing experience preferred
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Emergency Department skills checklist current within 1 year
• One supervisory signed reference from past two years
• Must have own vehicle
• Block scheduling is not available

Responsibilities

• Critical access hospital Emergency Department serving approximately 14,000 patient visits annually
• 12-hour afternoon/mid shift schedule from 11:00 AM to 11:30 PM
• 36-hour guaranteed weekly schedule
• Every other weekend required, with holiday coverage as needed
• Must work one full holiday block: either Christmas Eve through the weekend after, or New Year's Eve through the weekend after
• Screen and assess patients to determine severity of condition and appropriate course of treatment
• Any requested time off must be submitted and verified at time of profile upload; requests made after upload or during interview will not be approved
• Maximum of 5 days of RTO accepted for the assignment duration
• Local candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible for this assignment
• First-time travelers may be considered
