American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced ER RN for a 3x12 night shift assignment in California. Requires 2+ years in emergency care and an active CA RN license. Travel candidates welcome with prior ED experience. Strong certifications and pediatric emergency care skills are preferred.

The role includes a 1:4 patient ratio, night shifts 1900-0730, and weekend rotations, with housing and licensure support offered where applicable.

Qualifications

• Active CA RN license is mandatory.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required; NIHSS and TNCC preferred.
• Minimum 2 years ER experience; 3 years preferred.
• Community hospital experience preferred.
• New travelers accepted with prior ED experience (3 years preferred).
• Strong pediatric emergency care skills and trauma care ability.
• Experience with IV therapy, phlebotomy and blood products preferred.
• Cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation experience
• Ability to triage and follow PPE/isolation precautions

Responsabilités

• Work in the Emergency Department of a hospital setting.
• Treat a combined adult/pediatric patient population.
• Maintain 1:4 patient ratio and provide direct patient care using the nursing process.
• Night shift: 3x12 hours, 1900-0730; weekends rotation required.
• Collaborate with nursing peers, physicians and allied services.
• Provide holiday coverage for specified holidays.
• Local candidates within 50 miles at local rate; returning travelers need a 1-year separation.
• First-time travelers considered with prior ED experience.

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER RN for a 3x12 night shift assignment requiring 2+ years of emergency department experience and CA RN licensure.

Requirements

• Active CA RN license
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS (preferred), and TNCC
• Minimum 2 years of ER experience required, 3 years preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• New travelers accepted if prior ED experience is present, 3 years preferred
• Skilled in pediatric emergency care including abdominal pain, asthma, burns, head injury, respiratory infection, seizures, and related conditions
• Experience with IV therapy, phlebotomy, and blood product administration preferred
• Experience with cardiac monitoring and interpretation/management of dysrhythmias
• Experience with triage and isolation precautions/PPE
• Experience with ortho trauma care
• Two supervisor references obtained within the past year required

Responsibilities

• Work in the Emergency Department of a hospital setting
• General Emergency Department treating combined adult/pediatric population
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 1900-0730
• Weekend rotation required
• No on-call requirement
• Provide direct patient care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Manage care of assigned patients and direct activities of ancillary staff
• Work collaboratively with nursing peers, physicians, and allied support services
• Holiday coverage required for one of the following: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, or Christmas Day
• Local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius at the local rate
• Returning employees must have a 1-year separation before being eligible to return as a traveler
• First-time travelers considered with prior ED experience
