Job summary

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Room position in Michigan. The ideal candidate holds an active MI RN license and has at least 2 years of ER experience, plus current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications. Cerner EMR experience is required, with TNCC/ENPC preferred.

This role involves night shifts (7:00 PM–7:00 AM) in a high‑pressure ER setting, with weekend work and no on‑call requirements. Eligible candidates may need license verification through LARA and Nursys.

Qualifications

• Active MI RN license required at time of consideration.
• Minimum 2 years of RN Emergency Room experience required.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required (AHA).
• TNCC and ENPC certifications preferred.
• Cerner EMR experience required.
• Skills checklist completed within the past year required for consideration.
• MI license verification (LARA and Nursys) required.

Responsibilities

• Works in the Emergency Medicine department providing acute and critical care.
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
• Weekend shifts required.
• No on-call requirements.
• Uses Cerner EMR.
• Provides rapid assessment, triage, stabilization, treatment administration, and physician support for patients with acute injuries or illnesses.
• Works in a high-stress, fast-paced emergency care environment.
• Grey scrubs required as part of dress code.
• No more than 5 days of RTO can be requested during the assignment.
• Full-time McLaren employees are not eligible for contract hire within six months of their employment end date.
• Candidates residing within a 35-mile radius of the facility are considered local travelers and subject to reduced travel pay.
