Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Room position on night shift, requiring 2+ years of ER experience and an active MI license.

Details

• Emergency Room unit within a 324-bed Level II trauma medical center
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every third weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active Michigan (MI) RN license required, compact license not accepted
• Minimum 2 years of ER experience required
• Current BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) certifications required
• Skills checklist current within 1 year, pertinent to ER specialty, required
• 2 supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years required
• Travel experience preferred
• Epic EMR experience preferred

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care including triage, assessment, and initiation of immediate care in life-threatening situations
• Perform nursing procedures and assist physicians with patient care
• Communicate with ambulance services and provide pre-hospital care orders as needed
• Provide patient and family education, comfort, and discharge instructions
• Navy blue scrub dress code required
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for consideration
• No more than 5 days of requested time off (RTO) allowed during the assignment
