Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department role at a Level 1 trauma center. Applicants must hold an active MA RN license and current BLS/ACLS, with at least two years of ED experience, including Level 1 trauma exposure and Epic EMR proficiency.

The ED features a renovated 44-bed space with imaging, pharmacy, fast-track, behavioral health suite and private rooms. Night shifts are 7:00 PM–7:30 AM, 36 hours weekly, with weekend and holiday commitments.

Qualifications

• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA) required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience required.
• Level 1 trauma center experience required.
• Epic EMR experience required.

Responsibilities

• Care for patients in a newly renovated 44-bed ED spanning 45,000 sq ft.
• Utilize imaging suite, pharmacy, fast-track area and private treatment rooms.
• Provide care for emergencies with immediate attention in a Level 1 trauma center.
• Record assessments and medications using Epic EMR.
• Work 12-hour night shifts, 36 hours per week, with weekend and holiday requirements.

Responsibilities

• Work in a newly renovated, state-of-the-art 44-bed Emergency Department spanning over 45,000 square feet
• Department features include an imaging suite, pharmacy, fast-track area, behavioral health suite, private treatment rooms, and family waiting/consultation areas
• Care for patients experiencing accidents or medical emergencies requiring immediate attention
• 12-hour night shift schedule (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM), 36 hours per week
• Required to work every other weekend and 2 holiday shifts
• Uses Epic EMR for patient assessment, care documentation, and medication administration
• Provide emergency care to patients with acute medical conditions and trauma in a Level 1 trauma center setting
• Excessive time off will not be considered, especially around the holidays
• Must complete Tele/ECG and medication pass/fail testing
• Required vaccinations include COVID (plus booster) and flu, with medical exemptions allowed
• Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius; local candidates will not be considered
• Previous employees of any Beth Israel Lahey Health facility (travel, perm, or per diem) must have a 6-month break before returning
• First-time travelers are not specifically addressed and should inquire about eligibility
