Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cath Lab assignment in Texas. The ideal candidate will hold an active TX or Compact RN license and have at least 1 year of Cath Lab nursing experience.

Required certifications include BLS and ACLS, with Nursys verification within 30 days of start. The role involves multimodality lab settings (Cath Lab, Vascular, IR, EP, Neuro), a Monday–Friday schedule from 0630–1700 with four 10-hour shifts and monthly on-call duties.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (TX or Compact) currently in hand.
• Current certifications: BLS and ACLS (AHA required).
• Minimum 1 year Cath Lab nursing experience required.
• Nursys license verification within 30 days prior to start.
• Must have current license and primary source verification within 30 days prior to start.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care for patients undergoing diagnostic, therapeutic, and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures.
• Assess, prepare, and position patients for procedures, including conscious sedation and hemodynamic monitoring.
• Prepare, implement, and document plans of care and communicate patient condition to physicians before, during, and after procedures.
• Perform and/or facilitate procedures and prepare necessary equipment and supplies.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of Cath Lab nursing experience required
• Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start
• Must have current license and primary source verification within 30 days prior to start

Responsibilities

• Multimodality lab environment including Cath Lab, Vascular, IR, EP, and Neuro with 3 procedure labs
• Schedule is Monday-Friday, 0630-1700, four 10-hour shifts with flexibility required
• Requires 7-10 days of call per month
• Uses Cerner EHR and Merge hemodynamic monitoring system
• Provide direct nursing care for patients undergoing diagnostic, therapeutic, and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures
• Assess, prepare, and position patients for procedures, including performing conscious sedation and hemodynamic monitoring
• Prepare, implement, and document plans of care and communicate patient condition to physicians before, during, and after procedures
• Perform and/or facilitate procedures and prepare necessary equipment and supplies
• Radius rule applies allowing local candidates at a reduced rate, varying by facility location
• First-time travelers may be considered
