American Traveler, LLC seeks an experienced Cath Lab/Endovascular RN for a CVOR role at a Level II Trauma Center. You will work in a fast-paced surgical environment with a focus on cardiovascular cases and patient safety.

The position requires 2 years of CVOR experience, active SD RN license, BLS/ACLS, and the ability to work independently. On-call shifts, travel housing support, and a traveler-friendly facility are provided.

Responsibilities

May float to Main OR as needed.
Use Epic EMR, Baxter IV pumps, and Omnicell medication dispensing.
8 or 10 hour shifts with on-call overnight and every 3rd weekend.

Job description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab/Endovascular RN for a CVOR position requiring 2 years of CVOR experience at a Level I or II trauma center.

Level I or II trauma center experience required
Strong CVOR background needed across all specialties with ability to work independently and with minimal guidance
Completion of a nursing education program approved by a board of nursing

Responsibilities

Work in the CVOR unit of a Level II Trauma Center hospital
2 operating rooms, 20 Pre-Op bays, and 14 PACU bays
Cardio and thoracic surgery patient population including CABG, TAVR, valve replacements, thoracic cases (lobectomy, hernia repair), generator exchanges, lead extractions, fem-pop bypass, open vascular cases, AAA, carotids, and conversions
1:1 OR patient ratio
Circulate only, no scrub responsibilities
May float to Main OR as needed
Uses Epic EMR, Baxter IV pumps, and Omnicell medication dispensing
8 or 10 hour shifts, schedule to be determined during interview
On-call required: one overnight per week (7p-7a) and every 3rd weekend
On-call shifts are typically 1-2 days/week (1500-0700) with every 3rd weekend from Friday 1500 to Monday 0700, subject to change
15 minute on-call response time required
Sleep room available in the Pre-Op/PACU area during off hours with couches in the break room
Work alongside a 2-tech surgical support model with dedicated Nurse Clinician, CRN, Service Line Leads, HUC, Scheduler, and Preference Card Analyst support
Facility orientation consists of 5 eight-hour days
Potential to work every holiday
Time off requests require manager approval
Scrubs provided and free parking available
First-time travelers will be considered
Travelers must live more than 100 miles from the facility
Permanent staff must wait one full year before returning as a traveler
Facility is known for being traveler-friendly with high renewal rates
