Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking a Cath Lab RN for a 16-week acute care assignment in California. Requires at least 2 years of recent Cath Lab or IR RN experience and procedural sedation skills. Epic EMR experience is required for IR RNs and preferred for Cath Lab RNs.

Must hold an active California RN license and certifications ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and RCIS/RCES. Travel-friendly provisions include housing support and per diem flexibility.

Job description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab RN for a 16-week acute care assignment requiring at least 2 years of recent cath lab or IR lab experience and procedural sedation skills.

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required (compact license must be in hand at time of consideration)
• Minimum 2 years of recent lab experience required (Cath Lab or IR RN background)
• First-time travelers considered only if they have at least 2 years of lab experience
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and CCI RCES or CCI RCIS
• Epic EMR experience required for IR RNs; highly preferred for Cath Lab RNs
• Procedural sedation administration and monitoring skills required
• Experience with ACT monitoring, cardioversion, sheath removal, and dysrhythmia interpretation/management required
• Experience in a 2-room cath lab within a 250-bed facility preferred
• Must provide 2 supervisory references covering at least 1 year of employment within the last 3 years

Responsibilities

• Work in the Cath Lab of an acute care Magnet hospital
• Day shift schedule, 4x10 hours, 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday
• Weekend call required: 1 weekend per month (Friday-Sunday PM) plus 1 weekday per week, approximately 7 days of call per month
• Epic EMR used for charting
• Open to candidates with Cath Lab or Interventional Radiology (IR) background
• Performs diagnostic and interventional cath lab procedures, with potential EP lab, hybrid OR, and IR support
• Scrub color for RNs is royal blue
• Free parking provided onsite
• Candidates must disclose any prior work history with Providence facilities (permanent, travel, or per-diem), including location and dates
• Former Providence perm staff may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period, provided they are not within 50 miles of the facility
• Travelers may be required to float between sister facilities within the system
• Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate within a 50-mile radius
• RTO requests must be submitted at the time of consideration; post-offer requests may not be accommodated
• Candidates must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
